The financial heart of Madrid has a new tenant. The technology multinational Oracle has chosen number 81 on Paseo de la Castellana, the iconic BBVA Tower designed by the Spanish architect Sáenz de Oiza, to set up its new HQ. The American group has leased 5,000m² spread across the 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th floors to accommodate its team of over 300 people.
Oracle's decision to move from Las Rozas to the heart of Madrid's Central Business District (CBD) underscores the growing interest of technology multinationals in relocating their headquarters to the centers of major cities, reversing the trend of the past when they opted for large complexes on the outskirts.
