With the expansion of its production and post-production capacity, Netflix Spain has transformed its new headquarters in Tres Cantos, Madrid, into the company's largest facility in Europe. This project, developed in collaboration with Rubio Arquitectura and managed by CBRE, was executed by Empty, which was responsible not only for the construction but also for coordinating the client's direct suppliers. In this project, FLULLE was responsible for carrying out all the installations.
The building, spread across four floors, has been designed to reflect Netflix's identity through a meticulous selection of materials and colors. The interior design aims to enhance the team's creativity by balancing functionality and inspiration in every space.
Each floor features a unique design language: the work areas maintain a cohesive aesthetic, while service spaces, such as the cafeteria and screening room, stand out for their diversity and dynamism. On the fourth floor, a garden terrace provides a welcoming work environment in harmony with the company’s philosophy, integrating nature, comfort, and innovation.
The project execution demanded high standards in acoustic comfort. Special attention was given to the finishes and junctions in both solid and glass partitions. Additionally, acoustic panels were installed on ceilings and walls, along with sprayed acoustic treatments on installations to ensure an optimal sound experience.
The interior design featured a meticulous selection of finishes and custom furniture, combining terrazzo, vinyl, and wood flooring. This process required precise technical coordination to manage thicknesses and transitions between different materials, ensuring a seamless and harmonious integration throughout the space.
Given the high standards of a company like Netflix, the coordination of installations was a crucial aspect of the project's development. In this regard, FLULLE successfully met the demanding requirements set by both Netflix and Empty, ensuring their full satisfaction with the execution.
Collaboration with specialized technology providers enabled the project to meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency, guaranteeing that every detail contributed to creating a modern, functional workspace that truly reflects the company's vision.
As specialized installers, we were responsible for coordinating the different installation packages in collaboration with the international partners proposed by the client, thus ensuring the success of the project. Our work encompassed the execution and supervision of lighting control, the lighting itself, the fire protection system (PCI), the data infrastructure, and audiovisual systems, which were essential due to the project's audiovisual focus. Additionally, we managed the adjustment of the climate control system and, as the final phase, the legalization of the installations and their commissioning.
We gave 200% to this incredible project entrusted to us by Empty. The level of satisfaction from all parties was outstanding, as conveyed by the client, who later entrusted us with the maintenance services through our Facility Services (FFS) business unit. We are delighted to be part of projects like this that leave a lasting mark on the capital.
