Colonial Inmobiliaria relied on FLULLE Facility Services for the adaptation of the first floor of this classic and stately building located on 45 José Abascal street, in the Chamberí district, a traditional neighborhood in the heart of Madrid holding an aristocratic architectural heritage.
A 230 m2 or 2,500 ft2 adaptation was carried out next to the elevator shaft core through which the staff access office building, while the walls damaged by use were refurbished. Technical floor and ceiling plates affected by previous telecommunications, electricity and lighting installations were replaced with new ones.
The project included restoration of two 10m² or 110 ft2 terraces, both affected by damp. In the first case, we applied a stain remover on walls, which were later cleaned and repainted. In addition, we took into account that terraces must incorporate at-height security railing according to applicable regulations. Work was then carried out on the existing ones to adapt them to that height and, for increased safety, they were reinforced and affixed to the walls adding additional vertical railings which provided greater stability.
Finally, the stricken area was cleaned with approved cleaning products, fulfilling our commitment to care for the environment. Our team complied with the proper use of PPE, protections and signaling for work at height, as always ensuring on-site safety.
