The La Paz Teaching Hospital, one of the most prestigious in the Community of Madrid, is embarking upon a comprehensive remodeling of its facilities, with FLULLE contributing its specific experience in the area to achieve the objectives set in phases, based on current health regulations .
Meet controlled environment challenges and operating room specifications
We began the surgical area refurbishment of the 4th floor of the Maternal and Child Healthcare Hospital in 2019, with its two operating rooms and an attached resuscitation unit with controlled environment and operating room specifications.
0% deviation tolerance
Fittings completed in these areas demand a positive differential pressure control of 10 pascals between the operating room and its adjacent areas, and allow for a maximum deviation of 0.1 pascals. In the case of temperature, the maximum deviation permitted is 0.2 ºC between the set temperature and the ambient temperature, and the relative humidity can deviate by 2% maximum.

A precise and meticulous job
The precise and meticulous job, typical of a surgeon, made by our team, has allowed us to not only comply with the specifications for a surgical area obtaining an ISO-8 classification, but also being awarded with an ISO-7. In practice, while suspended particle counts of less than 0.5 microns for projects like these are capped at 3,520,000, we achieved a total of 38,220 in the first operating room and 42,000 particles in the second. Our team overcame this fascinating challenge with absolute success, thanks to the love and passion it pours into each of the commissioned projects, reason for which a client like the La Paz Teaching Hospital hired us.
The Challenge
