The Project
The Alfonso X El Sabio University (UAX) spearheaded the creation of a new university campus specializing in technology and educational innovation, UAX Business & Tech, located in the Arapiles 13 building in the Chamberí district of Madrid. The 18-story, 12,000 m² building underwent a complete renovation carried out by Tétris as the general contractor, with FLULLE responsible for all the installations.
The project was designed by Estudio Somarriba Arquitectos and completed in six months, with the aim of transforming an office building into a leading university campus equipped with the most advanced technological systems in the education sector.

FLULLE participated in this project as the global installer, undertaking the design, execution, and commissioning of all the building's systems: low-voltage electricity, HVAC, plumbing and sanitation, fire protection, telecommunications and IT infrastructure, and special installations (access control, public address system, CCTV, and centralized technical management).
The campus integrates classrooms with advanced educational technology, a library, coworking spaces, tutoring areas, a Fab Lab, a Tech Lab, a Liquid Hub for company internships, an Agora for events, a cafeteria, and a rooftop terrace. Each of these spaces required specific and perfectly coordinated installation solutions, in strict compliance with current regulations regarding energy efficiency, fire safety, and accessibility.
The simultaneous work of multiple trades on site and the inherent complexity of a building of this type demanded rigorous planning and constant technical responsiveness throughout the entire construction process.
FLULLE deployed a multidisciplinary technical team with a dedicated site manager and continuous on-site technical supervision. The project was planned floor by floor and system by system, ensuring compatibility between installations, the absence of interference, and adherence to the construction schedule.
All systems were delivered with completed commissioning tests, full as-built documentation, and the corresponding legalization certificates.
